Passport and Visa
Every visitor to Hongkong must compulsorily hold a valid passport. Passports should be valid for minimum six months after one leaves Hong Kong. Travellers from most countries are not required to produce visa permits for periods varying from seven days to 180 days, depending on nationality.
Hong Kong Travel Pass
Hong Kong Special Administrative Region (HKSAR) Travel Pass makes travelling easier for frequent travellers, specially those who come for business purposes. Applicants should have come for trouble-free visits on 3 or more occasions (return from side trips to the Chinese mainland or Macau region not included) in the 12-month period immediately preceding the application. Director of Immigration can issue the travel pass if the visitor satisfies him with the purpose and nature of his visit.
Entry in Mainland China
Travellers who desire to visit mainland China can obtain visa permit in Hongkong. The application requires one photo and normally take three working days to process.
